yay! I'm finally done. I don't know how long I spent on this, but I started on the Friday before last week and finished yesterday. I worked on it (the colouring only) on and off between then.
I figured I would make her a fairy of flora. Flora being all the plantlife in an area (not just flowers, as common belief holds - fauna is all the animal life, not the greenery), So, that's why there are so many colours. Greens, oranges, reds, blues, purples... plants have all of that. I'm proud of it- there's no place that I used just one colour for. Everything is blendy goodness. I messed up a little, but... I dunno, they're only a few things.
This is gorgeous! The colors, the beautiful swirl of the lines, the overall composition is quite lovely! An awesome example of the pencilwork I would love to be able to do.

Hey Caeline! Been a while since I got to look at your gallery, but I'm really glad I remember to come check up on what I missed after "the big clean" (I totally wiped out over 3 thousand deviations on my backlogged watchlist lol). This is really beautiful, I love the rich and well blended colors and the sort of stained glass feel to this. Great work!
thank you so much for the comment and the fav. i actually started out as a traditional artist... which is probably why i'm not so good at CGing. :3 thanks again
Oh wow! pencil crayons are my friend too. Wonderful mix of colors that are very inspiring! I love the design! ^^

Oh I thought the cg's in your gallery were lovely too! I'm trying to make a jump INTO more traditional media now...colored pencil, watercolor...but I think I've been spoiled by layers and the undo button. Heh heh. But I just love looking at traditional stuff.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
